The History of Miu Miu – Lucy Madge
Miu Miu was established in 1993 by Miuccia Prada. The brand name was conceived from the families nickname. It is the sister brand to Prada and therefore part of the Prada group. Miu Miu came to play alongside sister brand Prada to offer a more sensual, rebellious take on dressing up compared to the minimalist, Prada.
Miu Miu staged shows in New York, London, and Milan. However the brand was crystallised when they showed in Paris in 2006. Miu Miu gives fashion a new, twisted meaning in the forms of elegance and sophistication.
